A high-level discussion on extreme personality traits in corporate environments - and how to protect your nervous system.

Narcissistic personalities, especially in leadership positions are unfortunately common. People with these traits are clearly drawn to such positions of power, status, and reputation. Positions, where they can decide over others, manipulate them, and play with them. Play a cats and mice game.

When exposed to such a personality, the safest choice is, to distance oneself, not interact in any possible way and keep a low profile in interactions. If a situation escalates, don’t hesitate to reach out to HR, to get external support.

Never forget to surround yourself with people that feel like sunshine.
